Stay Real, Be Beautiful!

I am sure many of us want to be beautiful, and we unwittingly try to compare ourselves to our most loved celebrities. The truth is, most celebrities aren't always as glamourous as those fancy fashion magazines would like us to believe.
As beautiful and dashing they are, they all need a little help (sometimes a lot!) with digital re-touching. It is call Photoshopping, the art of digital manipulation using the powerful and versatile software, Adobe Photoshop.
Take a look at the pictures below, and ask yourself if you are being unkind to yourself when you do compare yourself to those glossy, glamorous cover pictures on Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, etc.

Britney Spears

Enlarged/ repositioned head, hair and necklace,
Enlarged/ raised contrast on eyes and mouth,
Removed minor wrinkles from eyes, mouth and neck,
Brightened eyes, hair, and skin tone.

Brittany Murphy

Removed lower eye lids,
Smoothed and softened skin tone,
Minimized shadows, brightened eyes and hair color.

Kelly Clarkson

Thinned face and jawline,
Thinned stomach, thighs and behind,
Minimized shoulder.

Eva Longoria
Removed dark circles under eyes, removed blemish on cheek,
Thinned waist, made shirt more transparent,
Enlarged arm, thighs and behind,

Enhanced eyes and hair color.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers

Removed dark circles from under eyes,
Brightened eyes and evened out skin tone.

Justin Timberlake
Removed dark circles from under eyes,
Removed shine and creases from forehead,
Brightened eyes and hair color, smoothed skin tone.

Keira Knightley
Enlarged chest,
Added volume to hair,
Softened eyes and eye brows.

Madonna

Removed bags from under eyes,
Removed wrinkles,
Brightened eyes, hair, and skin tone.

So, I hope you feel better about yourself now.

There's a big difference between self-grooming and self-delusion. We know the media world  isn't helping us much to feel good about our real selves, living ordinary lives with our imperfect complexion, a figure that is one size too large/too small or our body weight that refuses to cooperate.

Just remember this, you aren't perfect.

And that's OK!

And like they say, "Glamour is a state of mind" and "Sexiness is a mental attitude".

So, let's all live with an attitude!

The right attitude, that is :-)
